Pattern Band: this band is made in two sections as shown in chart and then seamed together before the upper section of bag is worked.
First Row: with ecru ch 73, turn; skip 2, * 71 s c, ch 2, turn and repeat from * for the plain rows ,as shown on chart. Continue accord¬ing to chart always working over unused strands.
First Round of Upper Section : * 1 d c, ch 2, skip 1 and repeat from * join¬ing each round.
Second Round : ch 5, * 1 d c in next d c, ch 2 and repeat from *. Repeat 2nd round until there are 21 rounds of open mesh.
Edge: *ch 5, 1 d c in next d c, ch 7, 1 d c through the top of last d c, keep 2 loops on hook, thread over hook, skip 2 chs, draw a loop through next d c, thread over and through 2, thread over and through 2 s c in next sp and repeat from *. 3, ch 5, 1 sl st in next d c, sl st to Cords: ch 3, draw a loop through 1st next d c and repeat from *. ch, * thread over and through 1,
