FINISHED 29 inches long and 7 1/2 inches wide. Cut goods wider, to allow for seams. Make double stitching for cord 3 1/2 inches from top. Face top with colored sateen to match decoration. The design is worked with the lazy-daisy stitch with three shades of blue.
Edging
1st row. Make a row of sp around bag, join.
2d row. * ch 4, skip 1 sp, 1 tr in next sp, ch 3, 1 tr in same sp, ch 4, skip next sp, 1 s in next sp, repeat from * to end of row.
3d row. 6 s in 1st 4 ch, p, 1 s over tr, 3 s, p, 3 s in 3 ch, 1 s over next tr, p, 6 s in next 4 ch, sl st in s, *6 s in 4ch, p, 1 s over tr, 3 s, p, 3 s in 3 ch, 1 s over next tr, p, 6 s in 4 ch, sl st in s, repeat from * to end of row.
